I was born in Louisville, KY, but lived in Elyria, OH, most of my childhood. I am a U.S. Army veteran and have lived in Europe and several states over the last thirty years. I live currently in Waunakee, Wisconsin, (the only Waunakee in the whole world) and work as an IT project manager in Madison.
After I left the Army, I was able to attend USC (Go, Trojans!) and received a BA in English Literature. I’m a voracious reader, and I enjoy most genres (except horror). I tutor adult-reading and ESL through the Madison Literacy Network, and am a Friend of the Waunakee Library.
I joined TWS in November 2008 and have been actively writing poetry since then. Through them I have learned to both give and accept healthy criticism. I credit the group for my persistence — it’s very easy to give up on writing.
