In 5th grade I discovered that by ‘playing pretend’ I could create entire new worlds and characters to live in them. Over the years this evolved into role-playing, which eventually became writing. If not for certain questions or influences I wouldn’t be where I am today, or even dare I say, who I am.
In Senior Year of high school, 05-06, I wrote a 102page story about a vampire, Ramses the Second, the captain of the palace guards and a dancer. In the fall of 06 I revised this story for National Novel Writing Month. Looking back, it was a crazy time. I completed NaNoWriMo for the two years after that as well, writing the rough drafts of “The Castean Empire” and its sequel; “Skies of War”. I have many current and future projects planned so I don’t expect to slow down writing any time soon.
I grew up in New Hampshire, attended Keene State College and am now living in Wisconsin. Favorite food: strawberries, favorite author: Terry Pratchett, favorite character: Sam Vimes or Drizzt Du’orden, favorite genre: fantasy and science fiction, and favorite cure for writer’s block: a long drive in the car with music on.
